A Calgary Folk Fest finalist 2015
I had always felt that I should write a song about support. When we lost our home to the Calgary flood I had a perfect opportunity and inspiration for it.
Push Through It was written a few weeks after I had lost almost every material thing I owed. The response from our family, friends and even from complete strangers coming to our aid was overwhelming. These people, some I may never see again, are the inspiration behind the song. I feel they were a blessing to our family during a potentially impossible climb. This song is about the support we as a family received.
Push Through It is all about being a brother to everyone, supporting each other and loving our neighbour like we want to be loved. I really hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it!
